Ash Wednesday and Lent Prayer Walks

Lent began with a reflective Ash Wednesday service and continued with Thursday fasting and prayer walks through the parish.

We marked the beginning of Lent with a creative and reflective Ash Wednesday service.

Through Lent, the church was invited to fast and pray for God’s kingdom to come in our community. One practical rhythm was to use lunchtime on Thursdays for prayer walking, either from church or wherever people happened to be.

The season gave us space to slow down, pray for our neighbours, and ask God to renew our love for Park.
